Cheese Danish 1 - 1 lb package of Farmer Cheese, drained 1 tbsp Vanilla extract 1/2 tsp Mace 1 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 cup Butter, softened 1 1/2 cup powder Sugar 1/2 cup All-purpse Flour about 1 lb, puff Pastry dough 1 cup Almond paste 1/2 cup Butter, melted 1. Combine first 7 ingredients in food processor. Pulse just until mixed but still firm. Refrigerate for at least an hour. 2. Roll dough out to a square approx 12 inches by 12 inches. 3. Spread almond paste in thin smear leaving 3 inch border all around. 4. Spread half of cheese mixture on top of almond paste. 5. Fold corners toward the middle so all meet squarely. Paint the top with butter and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour. 6. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees (F) or until golden and puffed. * Optionally drizzle with sugar and water glaze while still hot.
